A contract to build a turkey processing plant in Klimovichi District, Mogilev Oblast was signed by Chairman of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee Vladimir Domanevsky and Head of ARVI Group of Companies (Lithuania) Vidmantas Kucinskas in Mogilev on 15 January.

According to Vidmantas Kucinskas, the project provides for the full-cycle production of turkey meat. Initially, its capacity will be 10,000 tonnes of products per year and will be further increased to 15,000 tonnes. Minimum investment is about Br50 million. The project will create about 100 jobs. The complex will consist of approximately 30 farms for growing and fattening turkeys, a meat-packing plant consisting of slaughter and meat processing workshops.

The project will be implemented by the legal entity OOO Klimarvi registered in Klimovichi. The design and estimate documentation will be ready soon. The construction will be launched in March. The entire engineering infrastructure for the new plant will be built at the expense of the local budget. “It is a pleasure for us to work in Belarus,” the Lithuanian businessman stressed.

“We already have a history of success as we set up a similar complex in Lida District. In the regions we feel the support, the desire to develop the territories. Therefore we plan to actively develop the existing companies and set up new ones. The products made in Lida District have already been certified in the EU, and we plan to start its deliveries to Europe soon. Products that will be manufactured in Klimovichi District will be sold domestically and internationally,” Vidmantas Kucinskas noted.

For his part, Vladimir Domanevsky stressed the importance of the implementation of this investment project. It will serve as an additional impetus to the development of Mogilev Oblast and and will contribute to its export capacity.

During the meeting the parties also discussed the participation of ARVI Group of Companies in the competition to sell Belynichy protein factory, its modernization and building up the capacities for recycling the meat-processing industry waste. Vidmantas Kucinskas confirmed the intention to participate in this project because the new plant will produce a lot of waste that should be disposed of.
