Joint Belarusian-Italian company Biolodzhiko-Company plans to develop organic farming on 460 hectares in Pinsk region.

The founders of the new production for the agro-industrial complex in 2016 were Italian company Bi. De. Ma., headed by Luigi de Angelo, and Pinsk mekhtrans. Partners own 50% shares in the statutory fund of the joint venture.

Land for the project is allocated from the fund of the local agricultural enterprise Konchitsy-Agro. The Italian partner, who already has experience in organizing a similar production in Moldova (9,000 hectares), concludes an agreement on the cultivation of products without the use of pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, stimulants and growth hormones, GMOs, carries out farm certification and training, supplies technologies and seeds , if necessary, organizes the processing and purchases all the products.

"I want to bring Belarusian agriculture to the European level, introduce progressive technologies for cultivating the land. Together we can produce environmentally friendly products, the demand for which is growing year by year in Europe. Moreover, for these purposes it is possible to attract both EU money and private investors, " Luigi de Angel said.

Until 2018, Biolodzhiko-Company plans to fully complete the necessary certification of organic production. It is planned to grow and export organic grain - wheat, barley, corn, peas, soybeans, and grow strawberries.
The Italian investor is studying the possibility of producing blueberries; Polessky State University will assist the investor in this. With the participation of the university a joint project for the production of organic berries has been developed.
