On April 22, 2019, the National Agency of investment and privatization held a meeting with a delegation of the Belgian-Luxembourg chamber of Commerce in Russia. The meeting was attended by the representatives of Belgian-Luxembourg chamber of Commerce in Russia, the Ministry of Finance of Belgium, the Belgian group of companies SOLVAY, the company PURATOS, the company Deforche Construct NV and the company Van Hoorebeke BVBA. The meeting discussed the prospects of investment cooperation, as well as the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the main areas that are attractive to Belgian business, such as paper and pulp industry, chemical industry, and information technology. In particular, SOLVAY is a global market and technology leader in hydrogen peroxide, producing more than 1.5 million tonnes of hydrogen peroxide per year and having 18 plants worldwide, including 8 in Europe. SOLVAY considers Bellesbumprom concern and enterprises of the industry as strategic partners for the development of their business in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.
