On October 26, V Belarus-France business forum was held in Minsk. The National Agency of Investment and Privatization made a presentation of Belarus’ investment potential and preferential regimes.

The Program’s agenda include Belarus’ export, investment, trade and economic potential.

More than 40 entrepreneurs from all over France – representatives of the major companies – participated in the forum. The success stories of Belarusian and French companies were presented within the forum.

A number of prominent investment projects with participation of French companies are being implemented in Belarus. The volume of French investments on a net basis to the Republic of Belarus for 1Q 2018 has exceeded that of the comparable period 2017 by 3.9 times. The investment cooperation tendency with France remains positive.

French capital expresses its interest in Belarus in several directions. In 2010, shareholders of the largest French corporations focused their attention to Belarusian market, which was rapidly increasing its share in the world production and export of dairy products. There are Danone concerns and Groupe Lactails in 2017. In 2010, the world hotelier Accor reached an agreement on managing the hotel in Belarus under its brand. Thus, a hotel at Zibitskaya street has been opened so far.

Belarus’ digital economy attracts French partners in this sector – French IT companies are among the leaders in establishing offices in the High-Tech Park.
