The National Agency of Investment and Privatization of Belarus announced the beginning of a procedure for the search for strategic investors for state enterprises of light industry (JSC "8 March" and JSC "Lenta") and the chemical industry (JSC "Krion" and JSC "Lakokraska").

To prepare and support the procedure, NAIP attracted financial consultants (companies with a high reputation in the international business community).

Investment models provide for the purchase by the investor of state-owned shares, purchase of newly issued shares, creation of joint ventures with majority participation of the investor or other widely used models.

JSC "Kryon" is a leader in the market of industrial and medical gases in Belarus with a market share of more than 60%.
OJSC “Lakokraska” is a leading paint and varnish production company, which holds a 27% stake in the Belarusian market.
JSC "Lenta" is one of the largest manufacturers of textile haberdashery, industrial and technical textile accessories, medical dressings.
JSC "8 March" is one of the leading manufacturers of knitted textiles and products of various assortment, accessories and hosiery.
Financial advisors will conduct works on pre-privatization preparation and attraction of strategic investors for enterprises. NAIP, the Ministry of Economy, the State Property Committee, the Belneftekhim Concern and Bellegprom will support the consultants.
The work on pre-privatization preparation and attraction of strategic investors are carried out within the framework of the project "Support for privatization", which NAIP implements with the support of the World Bank.
